Don’t Say Anything
A couple weeks ago I hit a low point in my creative adventure. I didn’t know what I want to post about or what to make my YouTube or Instagram videos about. I was chasing trends.
But then I realized something that has changed the way I make videos forever. Often times I don’t have much to say and I don’t want to force something or create moments for the sake of the camera. I live in a very beautiful area and I love coffee.
Then it hit me, just show that.
If I don’t have much to say, those two things say enough. If I can just show people where I adventure and that I like to drink my coffee outside, maybe that’s enough to connect with others.
So I’ve started doing that, and it’s awakened an excitement in me to keep creating.
Now I can’t wait to get outdoors in the early mornings when the fog is still lingering and the light is trying to break through.
And the best part? I don’t have to say anything else at all. The views and coffee says it all.
I think we who like to create videos think we have to always have something to say when that isn’t the case.
For the first time in 6 months, I feel like a kid again. A kid with a camera and the whole world ahead.
Here’s to many more adventure, creating films outdoor and coffee. Much more coffee.
Talk soon.
